Danish trio Fine Glindvad, Simon Kjær and Simon Andersson (aka CHINAH) are a real Scandinavian secret. Through their seemingly innocent songs, this band dismantle and reform pop to fit their vision of the modern day world. As Glindvad states, "We have been playing the pop music's premise in the first two epics. In pop music, one often creates a unique and utopian universe. You describe the dream. Now we go in and break the dream." Listening to ‘Yeah Right’, you could easily be drawn into the realm of futuristic synthlines and Rosie Lowe-esque vocals, but CHINAH won’t allow the listener to get comfortable in this cool alt-pop setting for too long. The track bursts into exciting directions, progressive electronics akin to the the strangeness of Clarence Clarity and a wild guitar solo harking back to classic rock anthems.
